Who we are

Four guys, a stack of amps, and a catalogue of songs that deserved a bigger stage.

The Sound

The best of the B's

We dig past the obvious hits. The second-best song on every great record. The one that comes on and somebody in the back yells, "I haven't heard this in twenty years." Five decades of southern rock, blues, soul, and outlaw country, played the way it was meant to be played.

"Oh my god, I haven't heard this in forever." — Patron, [Venue], [Year]

The Vibe

A room that keeps moving

Strangers finding common ground in a chorus they didn't expect to hear. People back at the bar between songs. We read the room and the set list follows. Bar owners want a full tab. Bar goers want a great night. We're after both.

"Best Friday night we've had all year." — Manager, [Venue], [Year]

Songs that deserved a bigger stage

No backing tracks. No autotune. Four people playing every note like it matters, because it does. The album cuts that radio skipped over. The hooks people half-remember. The songs that earned a louder room than they ever got.

"Crowd didn't sit down once." — Patron, [Venue], [Year]

The Road

Show up, set up, play the room

Bars, breweries, legions, patios, festival stages. We bring our own PA and backline, so a venue with four walls and power is enough. We work in unison with the bar staff so everyone has an awesome night, theirs and ours.

"Easy to work with. Quick load-in, packed floor, clean load-out." — Booker, [Venue], [Year]
The lineup

The Band

Four faces. One sound. Built on a swamp.

Rob
Rob
Guitar / Vocals
Founder. Tone wizard. Pedal hoarder. Spent a decade studying the greats before finding his own voice. Will spend 45 minutes getting his sound right, then play a solo that makes you forget your own name.
For fans of Skynyrd, Tom Petty, SRV, Allmans, Clapton
Jeans
Jeans
Guitar / Vocals
Country roots, blues soul. Grew up on Merle and Waylon, then fell headfirst into blues rock. Always has a Telecaster in hand. Basically a fifth limb at this point.
For fans of Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Dwight Yoakam, Black Crowes
Max
Max
Bass / Vocals
Switched from six strings to four. Played guitar around Ottawa, including a run with Lady Soul, before moving to bass for the Stompers. Deep pocket, singer's ear. If a song has a groove, Max already found the one and is sitting on it.

Matt
Matt
Drums
Jazz-trained, rock-leaning. Matt keeps things steady in the pocket, until he doesn't. When "Mad Matt" goes off the rails with a solo, the rest of us hang on and enjoy the ride.
